Required Mac specs to run MC for multi-channel audio and some video?

Hi all.

I'm looking at picking up a Mac Mini again as a semi-HTPC to host MC and some other home-automation stuff.  It would have to do the following:

* Play stereo and multi-channel audio via HDMI into my Marantz receiver and 7.1 speakers. Source files mostly flac with some DSF
* Serve / stream / resample audio to JRemote on iPhones and MC on other Macs and PCs
* Play movies via HDMI into Marantz receiver and Sony 4K TV
What's the minimum processor/RAM to do this well?  The media files are on a Drobo 5N NAS on my LAN.  Does MC need or can use multiple cores and/or GPUs?  The new Mac Mini starts with these specs:

3.6GHz quad-core 8th-generation Intel Core i3 processor
8GB 2666MHz DDR4 memory
Intel UHD Graphics 630
128GB PCIe-based SSD
