wdm sound bug (clicks and pops). i've tried everything nothing works
nir:
i'm using wdm to play spotify, tidal, apple music but most of the time the sound is not good (many crackles).
i've already tried: reinstall jriver. change buffer, audio device and more.
i'm using windows 10 ver 1809.
Awesome Donkey:
Unfortunately, other than changing the buffer there's likely not much you can do with MC22 to get it working since the WDM driver pre-MC24 can have issues with crackle and pops. Some users were able to workaround it by adjusting the buffer but for others they couldn't, depending on what was being used (for example, some Tidal content, especially Tidal Masters at 24/96 could have issues with the WDM driver). However, the WDM driver pre-MC24 works fine for others, so your mileage may vary.
That said, the WDM driver was greatly improved in MC24 with those issues (hopefully fully) eliminated. In addition the WDM driver was signed with a extended validation (EV) certificate so it works with Windows 10's driver requirements (and works with secure boot enabled).

it's absurd that i need to buy another version because of this bug. "jriver" crew need to fix it by patch or free download of the newer version.
JimH:
Sorry you feel that way, but it's how we work. We don't go back.

i've tried the latest version (24.0.72), enabled wdm, and didnt found it (in output device).
uninstall it and install 24.0.41 from https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,116606.msg806043.html#msg806043
enable wdm and jriver update to the latest version and now its working fine and hope it will be ok for the next days.
if i want to buy it (when the trial version will expire) i get discount? (already purchased ver22)
