  • MC9 & iPodv3 - doesn't get much better...
Remounting iPod
« on: May 24, 2003, 04:09:35 am »

My iPod works perfectly with MC9. But one thing I have not figured out and can't find in HELP. With my PC on and MC9 up, when I dock my new iPod, after 30 secs or so my iPod appears in handhelds on MC9 (as it's supposed to). The iPod immediately starts flashing 'do not disconnect' (also OK). If I am not syncing, and simply charging, I 'eject device' in MC9, and it charges away while I do other things. However, I have not figured out how to get MC9 to again recognize the iPod. Right clicking on it doesn't give me an option to remount or the like. And redocking the iPod doesn't seem to do anything either. Is there a way to get MC9 to 'see' the iPod again without restarting everything?

Try unplugging and re-plugging again.  Try turning the iPod off and on.  Try plugging into the cable rather than the dock.  We haven't tested a dock yet, as far as I know.

Please use the iPod support thread here.  I'll close this one.
