Playback Designs MPS-3 with JRiver 24

Can someone tell me the right configuration to use JRiver with a Playback Designs MPS-3? I'm on Osx 10.9

Well, open MC's Options > Audio and under Audio Device click on the dropdown menu and select the DAC. If you want to playback DSD (assuming it supports DoP, which is what macOS only supports) enable DSD bitstreaming - but for DSD to work correctly you might have to open macOS' Audio MIDI Setup app and set the bit-depth and sample rate for your DAC to the highest available. Plus you may have to set both system volume under macOS and internal volume in MC to 100%.
