insert gap/pause between albums in a playlist

Is there a built-in way to have a sort of customizable gap/pause between albums in a playlist?

I typically listen to 2 or 3 albums or large pieces of an album (jazz, classical, progressive etc...) but would like sometimes to explicitly put in the playlist either an automatic pause or a few seconds of no music.
Sort of to appreciate the end of an album/piece fading out for instance and not start right away the next track that may be super loud and break the mood of the previous track.
I also would like this to happen automatically so I don't have to get out of the zone when I am listening, and move to the computer to pause manually.

Maybe I should just invest in a remote compatible with my mac and jriver?...
