Playback drop outs with Mac desktop
« on: April 01, 2019, 04:43:50 am »

Newbie here.   I have mostly ripped SACDs and CDs on HDDs

I have set up with a MAC and USB 3.0 HDD's (on a fast USB 3.0 hub) with an OPT output to a Denon receiver.  My CD's and MP3's (iTunes) are on a NAS server.  Occasionally there is a gap in playback and it seems independent of file type....I've tried DSD, DFF, AIF, etc.   I thought it may be a HDD read speed issue so I tried setting the option to read the entire album into memory.   I still get an occasional "blip".   I also tried removing Windows "Parallel" from memory and that didn't work either.

As we "speak" I am installing V25 and hopefully there will be success there.....but if not, are there any suggestions?
