HDMI over IP (ethernet) 4k@60Hz
« on: April 27, 2019, 05:39:09 am »

Currently I have 3 x computer. I am getting tired of managing them.

If I only want to have one, the requirement is to have the monitor for work in the office connected trough HDMI over IP to the central server or the TV in the Living room connected over HDMI over IP to the central server.

Is that something that works? (HDMI 4k extender are not so cheap. e.g. http://justaddpower.com/implementation.html)

It can work, but the video transfer likely won't be lossless, the bandwidth just isn't there. They call it "visually lossless".
