I think this works best if the tracks you want to play are in a playlist, then you need to turn it on in DSP Studio settings called volume leveling. most important, make sure your files have been analyzed.

Volume levelling will work with any group of files sent to the player or from a correctly configured media server. As OHM has mentioned the audio files must have been audio analysed for this to work effectively. Whatever you do don't select adaptive volume in the DSP audio settings as it will completely negate any volume levelling between the tracks you are playing, in my experience.
