MC 25.0.23 Sat-IP ?

(1/2) > >>

Greetings all:
I am sorry if this question looks very elementary- I have not used my Ubuntu server for over a year due to personal problems, and moreover the server got flooded  early 2018.
Building a new Ubuntu /Android server. It is 95 % ready.
MC 25.0.23, item # 5  relating to  Sat- IP:
Do we have Sat capability for amd64  now ?
Any amd64 features are all new to me !!.
I just returned my Directv boxes after 22 years of service.
I was planning to get the Ceton Infinity6 stb, but delaying it because I did not know MC for Linux is fitted with Sat TV feature.

I like the Ceton because it is network based.
Advice if this choice is good or go with the Homerun.
I prefer stb version.

Thanks all.

George

Awesome Donkey:
MC for Linux and Mac both lack television support and sadly there's a good chance they're unlikely to ever gain such features due to multiple reasons (for example, if I recall correctly, like drivers for tuners only available on Windows, etc.). If you're dependent on television support, Windows is your only option.

JimH:
Silicondust is probably a better choice now.  Ceton has seemed to leave the market.  Try a Google search to read more.

Greetings:
I just found out Ceton is gone.
I will be looking at Silicondust types.
For Linux- Amd64, it refers to SAT-IP, do we have the features now on this platform ?
Thanks.
George

JimH:
There is no TV functionality in MC on Linux.
