unresponsive tab in Artists view

when using tabs in Artists view (like Beatles > Beatles' Albums) a tab becomes unresponsive when:

1. you quit the application and reopen it to the view you quit with.
2. the above tab is not used for a while but left open (maybe 2hrs or longer) .

only closing the tab (via the 'x') is responsive

also,
MC25 sluggishness, lots of spinning wheels when editing. it gets the job done but the app seems to be struggling.

random crashes on searches using the search bar in the upper right hand corner
about once a day (not replicable with the same search)
the app would crash just by typing the 1st or 1st few letters.
