Pop-up overlay bar is really annoying

In Display view, every time jumped or paused, the stupid bar showing seek position and the time and date comes up and covers over around the bottom of the video screen for a while. How can i disable this bothering pop-up bar? It should be located out of the screen or it vanishes in a moment if no way to block.

Assuming Linux options are the same as those in Windows...

Tools > Options > Tree & View >

From memory here...

Advanced > Enable OSD

Untick that.

Thank you for your reply, marko. Now it works as I want. It was not a small thing to me and the option menu is so confusing, so I owe you a lot!
