BryanC:
I switched to the hardware device and have even better double-click reliability and responsiveness now. Obviously the audio stack is causing some type of input lag on my laptop (Haswell-based Thinkpad). I was under the false impression that Pulse/ALSA were handling the output switching when I plugged/unplugged my headphones from my laptop, apparently that is handled by the hardware and everything works the same as before. I did have to set my output sample rate to 48khz to use the hardware device. I have a new Thinkpad in the mail with an i7-8650u so I will do some testing to see if this is hardware dependent or possibly a Fedora quirk.

Hi from Rome, Italy

after installed release 41, coming from 37 (perfect) the sound gets worse and the bass appears swollen and unnatural, seems to have put a loudness that isn't on my system. So, mounted again 37

JimH:
Probably not the build.  Try rebooting and reinstalling.

alessandro:
Hi, I have tried twice, restarted pc, reinstalled, does not go. First issue from many yeard

JimH:
In the DSP Studio, try turning off all options.  I just don't think there have been any audio related changes recently.
