Sorting is reversing first & last names
« on: June 11, 2019, 12:42:09 am »

I've ripped aroun 400 cds with dBpoweramp, and things have gone pretty well.  I recently ripped the Les Paul THE LEGEND AND THE LEGACY box set, and the JRiver media center sees the name as PAUL LES.  Everything looks correct, but when I pull the albums up by artist , this title is in the P section rather than the L section, although the name appears in the correct format.

Any advice?

Check the Artist and Album Artist tags.

In Options, search for Articles. There is a list of articles to ignore when sorting, and the list includes many non-English words. Les is a French article. Your can remove Les from the list, or turn off the "ignore articles" feature if you prefer.

Thanks so much.  That was the issue, and I'd have never figured that one out.

You can add to the list as well , its handy if you want to drop Sir from say Sir Georg Solti etc
