MC25 not following video settings in KDE Neon

As the title says, Media Center 25 (25.071) is not following its settings in regard to video aspect ratio.  I have the settings mirror that on by MC25 in Windows, where there are no issues at all with this setting.  Here, however, the resulting video is not of the correct ratio and is not stretched.  The video looks small and just 4:3.  The same is true in other distros as well that I've tested, ubuntu 19.04, kubuntu 19.04, Manjaro 18.04 and antergos.   Am I doing something wrong?

That may only be supported in Windows, I'll do some testing on it...
