Unable to add internet radio stations to My Connected Media (JR23)
(1/1)
gd0:
Sorry, I know this is MC25, but the 23 subforum looks vacated.
And my issue might be a version thing(?).
I tried to add internet radio stations today, and could not. The instructions are ultra-simple, but nothing shows up in My Connected Media. Even after quitting / relaunching. I see I successfully added 2 stations a few years ago, likely while I was still on 22.
I'm on MC23, no need to upgrade(?); I only use JR for music, and then it's only local hard drives. Just want to add internet radio. If I have to upgrade just for that, I guess I will. After getting good and $teamed.
The stations are
KALX - Berkeley
KXSF - San Francisco
KDFC - San Francisco
Their websites, with play/live/stream options are currently up and running.
Any insight?
Thanks in advance.

Bump.
Anybody?
Help a brutha?
This should be super-easy. I even looked for alternative ways to add stations, but nothing.
I did find that if I give MC23 too many things to do, it will stop being responsive (while still playing music).
I've tried Quit / Relaunch, and even Shut Down / Reboot the iMac.
Nuthin'.
Any ideas appreciated. Thanx.

You might try the free trial of v25 and post again if you still have problems.

Hey Matt
Thanx for the reply. Tried 25, and didn't get any further than I have with 23.
Two stations remain undone, in different ways.
KXSF ( https://www.kxsf.fm - https://www.kxsf.fm/listen ) doesn't show up at all, and KALX (https://www.kalx.berkeley.edu - https://www.kalx.berkeley.edu/live-streaming ) shows up only as a portal that takes me to KALX's listening page.
I was looking to get all 5 stations in one place and place them at the head of the library (Panes > Album Artist "a"). I can do that with the stations I can access.
Probably has more to do with the stations than it does MediaCenter.
I guess the icon next to KALX attached here is evidence I can't accomplish this?
