Update Album cover art from file [solved]

Running 25.0.76 64bit

right click on album … [cover art]->[add from file] … choose file … then cover art turns to music note

need to restart MC for new cover art to show … just me? or other experiencing same?

This happens to me if I'm using MC as a DLNA renderer for Bubble. I don't have to restart MC though - just stop playback and wait for a bit.

got it ... all programs access my media through read only share (prevents accidental deletion modification ... i am THAT oaranoid lol) ... MC was tryimg to update file tags and got stuck ... so i disabled tag update on files
