JRiver, Korg DS-DAC-10R and ASIO
« on: July 08, 2019, 09:09:34 am »

I am having stuttering/drop out issues when trying to use JRiver ASIO and my Korg DS-DAC-10R on my Windows 10 Pro laptop. Playback is fine using the Audioagate software that comes with the Korg, but everything (including low bitrate MP3's) through JRiver is skipping badly. Are there any settings I might be missing?

Do your MC and Korg software match - both 32 bit or both 64 bit?

I think that device also supports WASAPI, so you might give that a try also.

Thanks. I will give WASAPI a try when I get home from work.
Isn't ASIO preferred though?

ASIO is definitely preferred. I suggested WASAPI as a test to see if you can get things working.

It seems to work without any issues when using WASAPI. I am guessing there may be something wrong with the ASIO driver.
Also, does anybody know if I should I be able to change the sample rate/bit depth in Windows 10 under properties? It only allows up to 16/48 in the drop down. The Korg DAC can do up to 2xDSD.
