NEW: iTunes Metadata Import
« on: July 19, 2019, 02:04:43 pm »

Coming next build, when you do File > Import From iTunes, some of the metadata will come along with the files.

Any rating set in iTunes will come into Media Center.

The date last played will be used if it's more recent than Media Center.

The maximum of the play and skip counts between the two programs will be used.

If there are any other pieces of metadata you think we should get, just say the word.

Thanks.

Very Nice!

Since we're still dependent on iTunes to sync an iPhone I'd love MC to be able to write the soundcheck Tag from the replay gain value.  Right now I either use dBpoweramp, Foobar or MP3tag for this task...If this could be done with the Audio Analysis that would be great!

I also haven't figured out how to show the Soundcheck values for mp3 files in MC with a custom library field. I tried all kinds of syntax but it doesn't work.  However a custom tag iTunNORM for ALAC files works fine.

COMMENT (iTunNORM)
COMM iTunNORM
COMMENT ITUNNORM and so on...Nothing works for mp3's...
