Nope, it's a separate purchase on the Google Play Store.

Just acquired a new Sony Xperia
1 with 512 sd card

My audio stored in the music folder on the sd card.
It played for about 48 hours, now it just will not load .
I have  uninstalled and reinstalled several times, with no luck.
I also did a couple  of clearing the library, and re importing .
Thanks.

I just purchased JRiver for Android 25.0.45 last night.

Is there a way for it to play the .m3u playlists that are on my SD Card?

Thanks!

JRiver for Android will automatically import playlists into the library from appropriately named folders. They will show up under Imported Playlists in the Playlist section.

Thanks.

I hadn't realized that the icon with the 3 lines one over the other on the home screen means "playlists".

I have 9 .m3U playlists on my phone's SD Card in the \playlist folder. Rocket player finds them but not JRiver for Android, so I'm guessing that placing them in the \playlists folder is not the appropriate folder name. What should it be?

(Sorry if this has been answered before, but a search for "playlists" came up 1000's of hits...  ;) )

Hi,

Just purchased JRiver for Android 25.0.45 yesterday; It only finds and plays local files... anyway to connect it to my music server (Aurender) on my network so JRiver would play files stored on a remote server, as the windows version does ? How can I do that...? (I purchased JRiver on Android for exactly that... ?)

Thanks in advance  !

Unfortunately, JRiver for Android is not capable of importing files over the network, yet.

It should be able to find playlists in that folder. Is the folder at the root level of the SD card?

Can you provide more detail about the problem? Will the app run but there is no audio? Is it finding the files? If you play something, is the playback bar tracking the progress?

Hi. Yes, the \playlist folder is at the root level of the SD card. I've re-scanned several times and JRiver for Android doesn't find the playlists.

Michel.

You might want to try copying the folder and placing the copy inside a folder, like one called "Media" as a test. There seems to be a bug where import might fail to find files in root level folders. Don't move the playlists because it will probably break them if they're using relative paths.

Hi,

I realize that this thread is for 25.0.45 but the play store just updated JRiver for Android to 25.0.83 (for which there is no thread yet) and the program does not want to start anymore. Android gives me this error message: "JRiver for Android keeps stopping".

I tried rebooting the phone but that does not help.

Running Android 9 on a Motorola G6 Play.

25.0.83 is broken. There should be a fix available shortly.
