Is there a way to record Play Doctor streamed output via Audacity?

(1/1)

rippolito:
I have JRiver MC 25, and run it on my iMac.  I have begun streaming Play Doctor output from playlists, and as far as that goes, it all works great, particularly the 96k or 192k cuts.

I would like to record some of that output so I can play it in my car (no one else would ever have access to it).  Normally, I use Soundflower to capture YouTube audio (in the streaming section of MC), and input that to Audacity to create flac files.  However, when I try to use that workflow with the playlist audio in Control Doctor, Audacity doesn't show any input.

Can someone please explain why this second workflow doesn't work similarly to the YouTube workflow?

Also, is there an alternative workflow that would yield success, and better audio results?

Thank you in advance...
Ron
