Yep, got a copy of the .deb out of my Ubuntu VM's Synaptic download cache and built a package on Arch Linux and I can verify it's displaying the correct version now. :)

Also as reported in the Media forum, this change:

has so far seemed to have sorted my gapless playback and white noise burst issue. Bit of testing to do but so far so good.
