Windows 10 and M4A files
« on: October 16, 2019, 05:48:02 am »

Hello,

Can you help me because I'm trying to play M4A files but MC (25) says "something went wrong with playback".

VLC, Musicbee, Windows Media Player and Groove reproduce the files correctly. I have Windows 10 fully updated.

Can I play M4A files with MC?

Do I need a particular configuration in the options?

Thanks

Quick question, but are they .m4a files or .m4p files? If they're .m4p files they're DRM protected and MC can't play those. Otherwise MC should play normal .m4a files just fine. Make sure you're using the latest build of MC25, which is 25.0.113.

The files have the extension M4A (not mp4).
I don't know if there is another way to check if it is M4A.
If they are DRM protected why the other software play this files?

MC is update to 25.0.113 (x64 version)

Thanks
