DSP Studio running on a Raspi

(1/1)

Facel:
If I am correct the DSP Studio is available on the MC Linux version.

I would like to use some DSP functions like :Convolution, Romm correction and Parametric Equalizer.

Have someone already test these functions on a Raspi 3B+ system ?
(Has the raspi enough computing power in order to achieve these tasks ?
Does is lead to a sound improvment ?)

is there any special issue ?

thanks for your feedback

mwillems:
I have tested those features on a Raspberry pi 3.   The parametric EQ and room correction work great on the Pi, I use them regularly.  I haven't used convolution on the pi other than to do basic tests because convolution is very processor intensive, especially for long filters.  I had poor results running long filters on a Pi, but a short filter might work.  A Pi 4 might actually have enough grunt to run a reasonable length filter, but I have no experience with the model 4's yet.

Facel:
Ok good to know

So maybe for convolution would it be better to use the Raspberri as a DLNA client instead of a MC client.

(I have MC running as Media server on an intel Nuc I5)
