Albums / Audio-files work fine for music.

Another (minor) issue is that if you move mouse over button (play, back, forward in top left corner) in UI white lines pop up round the buttons and disappear if you push on another part of UI. I never seen these before.

Verified the video issue. It can't find the libav stuff even though it's downloaded it. I suspect the hardening my have caused a problem. Checking into it.
I can't reproduce the UI issue.
What is your Skin, Monitor resolution, other graphic system details you see as pertinent?

Skin = Noire
Display 15,4-inch (2880 x 1800)
Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB graphics

MacOS = Catalina 10.15.1

The issue seems to unique to the Noire skin. Other skins do not have.

The issue is with "buttons" in the top bar with the Play, BAck, etc. but also the loudspeaker volume, and the button "Repeat", DSP/playback options.

I can't confirm this effect on a 2017 MacBook (2304 x 1440, Intel HD Graphics 615 1536 MB), 10.15.1.

bob:
I have determined that the hardened runtime is causing the video issue, working on it.
It's probably going to require us to use 10.9 as a minimum supported OS.
