Adding Second Media Folder Causes a Crash

I finally got MC running on Linux (Ubuntu) after months of trying and as of yesterday everything was fine.  Today, though, I added a second folder to it and part way through the indexing, it abruptly closed itself and now will not stay open long enough to be able to undo it.  Is there some way to do it manually through the filesystem and, if so, where is that done?
