Getting lots of pops/ticks when playing back dsf files
(1/1)
lordvader:
Hey all,
I've recently been getting lots of pops and ticks when playing back dsf files. These are during playback (not between tracks).
I'm using a Topping D50 dac.
Everything is setup properly -
* Bitstream output
* 1 second buffer
* Load the entire track into memory
* No DSP filters
I'm currently running MacOS 10.14.5, on a 2017 Macbook Pro (15").
JRiver version 25.0.114
I've attached a log file too :)
Let me know if there's anything else I should add.

Try the lastest build and you may need to reselect your Audio device in MC Options.

In some cases turning OFF the Bitstream DSD setting can solve that problem, at least in terms of DLNA settings, are you using that or is this a direct connection from the PC to DAC via USB?

Thing is, if I turn off bitstreaming, I don't automatically get DSD sent to my DAC. And yeah, this is a USB between laptop and DAC.
I've since updated, so keeping an eye on it.
