How to merge 2 libraries
« on: May 04, 2003, 07:16:53 pm »

I am trying to merge two libraries.  The help file says:

You can merge two libraries together. Be careful when using this function, as it will overwrite one of the libraries, by adding the other library to it.

1. Go to File | Library | Library Manager.
2. Load one of the libraries.
3. Click on the other library you would like to add to your current one.
4. Select "Merge".

Your currently loaded library is the new merged one.

Where do I find the "Merge" mentioned in step 4?

Hi,

You're right clout, the 'merge' library function seems to have dissapeared in recent MC9 builds.
It might be possible to do some kind of merging by stitching two xml files of your libraries using the command Library/Export to XML.... but I'm not sure. I will do a little test and tell you.

later,

Oooops.  Sorry.  I'll take it out of the help file.
