Global search UI broken on iOS JRemote
« on: November 04, 2019, 01:38:11 pm »

Sometime since around when iOS 13 came out, the UI for the global search function in the iOS JRemote stopped working. There is no visible text in which to type when the search function is invoked. This is true on iPhone, iPad landscape mode, and iPad portrait mode.

There are three screen shots attached, one for each of those situations. I each case, I hit "Search": in the iPad cases, the search button near the lower left corner; in the iPhone case, the search field from the main menu. In each case after hitting "search", I typed in a few characters. Those characters do not show up on the screen. There is a blank white rectangle where the search text should appear.

2018 iPad, iOS 13.1.3, JRemote 3.29
iPhone 7. iOS 13.1.2, JRemote 3.29

I can confirm the problem for an iPhone 6S and iPad Air 2, both with latest version of IOS/iPadOS and JRemote

Finally got some time to look at this.
It's some issue with iOS 13, not device specific. I can get it to go in the simulator. Still trying to work it out.
