Simple way to stream my MC to another room. Dayton WBA28

Newbie questions

I have MC25, Bought the mc 26.

In my main system, my music is on my pc for now via a DAC to my amp. I plan to install a server in another room gradually....but only next year.

I would like to send my music from that platform ( main system ) to my other amp in my dinning room.
I would like to be able to control it with my Phone ( iPhone ) and a tablet.

I could have a spare Ethernet  cable in that room, if not via wifi I imagine.
Would this kind of streamer box would do, The Dayton WBA 28 ?

RÉF:Specifications: • Supported operating systems: Mac OS/iOS/Android/Windows • Supported protocols: DLNA, AirPlay • Wi-Fi: 801.11 b/g/n • Frequency response: 20-22,000 Hz • SNR: <94.5 dB • THD: 0.005% • Crosstalk: <94.1 dB • Supported audio formats: MP3, WMA, AAC (AAC+), Apple Lossless, FLAC, APE, WAV • Supported Internet radio files: Streaming MP3, WMA, and AAC • Supported Playlists: iTunes, Windows Media Player, WinAMP, Rhapsody • Analog input: Stereo 3.5 mm • Audio output: Stereo 3.5 mm, digital optical • Ethernet port • USB port for music files • Includes IR remote • Power supply: Micro USB 5 VDC, 500mA • Dimensions: 4.5″ W x 1″ H x 4.5″ D.

I just want to ear and control my music in both room using the same interface experience that I love.
I want to see MC and not a apps from the box cie.

If you have other product suggestions that are easy to install,

Even if I'm not a great computer guy, should I rather go down the RPI road with spdif plus dac.For a best audio and value?

Is it going to be gapless playback ?

Is there way to stream Soundcloud in this kind of set-up.

Thank you.

I love Mc, love the sound and the UI experience.

If the Dayton supports DLNA (as it claims to) then MC should be able to push to it over Ethernet.

Thank You Andrew

So the fact that it is a DNLA compatible device, I should be able '' to push MC to it ''

Just to be clear, it does mean that I'm going to be able to have access (via a remote app for mc) to my music from the main pc and I'm going to be able to control it from my phone or tablet.

What about gapless, what if the company state that it doesn't support gapless?  for exemple the yamaha WXAD 10 say's that it doesn't support gapless. I listen to a lot of set and podcast on my HD and on Soundcloud.

Soundcloud is not supported by MC, so I'm would need to come out off the app to play Souncloud. is it a seamless way of working

In a resume
I'm am looking for a budget and simple way to listen to my music. (in other room)
MC and Souncloud
This music will be sent to a dac....if no dac onboard the steamer device then to my amp in the Diner room.

Theses are basic questions...I'm starting in streaming and MC...I'm a bit confuse...
Than you for your help.

Have a nice day.

I think your best bet is to read the wiki first..

https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Media_Network

Then if you have more specific questions, please feel free to come back.

Thank you for the link.

I realized that it was time to jump on the ice, to understand the architecture a little bit more

So I activated the Media Network and enabled DLNA on the main PC, as a server and I've connected to it a Laptop...DLNA enable too.

Bought JRemote for IOS: both pc ( Win 10 ) remote Ipad and Iphone.

Everything great except that I'm not able to link the different room via the remote app, to play the same music everywhere.

Still I enjoy a lot being able to listen to my library in the dinning room.

I will read more, but now I understand a little bit more how does it work.

again thank you
