I use JRiver exclusively for audio play back and always look forward to upgrade time which I see as a subscription to develop the software which is far more democratic than simply charging a lump sum like some of the other players do.
Usually the upgrades include a bit more revealing and detailed sound which is always welcome.
The 26 upgrade ,after comparing it to 25 back to back, however seems to go much further ,at least on my HRT HD DAC, it seems to make a deal of windows system changes? The sound is overall bigger as though the DAC is getting more voltage? The sound also seems a good deal cleaner with less digital glare much in the same way you get with a power supply upgrade.
Overall a great result and $30 well spent!

And still no regional option for UK users changing the T.V seasons title to series as in we have TV Program Series and Episode..and still no movie box set option...

Let me say thank you here again. It is amazing that JRiver is so receptive to suggestions. I am pretty much positive that I would not have gotten this request filled elsewhere.

MrGrymReaper:
Still no mention of Trakt.tv support. A service which you can sync your watch status and/or collection metadata with. This allows you to share through social media your media collection's (library's) meta data. You can rate what you have watched this gets synced, then based on it and what others have liked. The service will recommend media that you may like to watch also.

Given the popularity of the service it may be a useful way to implement a recommendation engine feature into JRiver Media Centre also you can help to promote each other.

I'm surprised that there would be any "sound quality " improvement from one upgrade to the next? How is this at all possible?
