Two entries for exactly same filename/path, but only one plays.

Every time I restore a Library backup from another machine I have numerous files in my library that mysteriously won't play (-) (but the files exist in the correct location).  The entire music directory and library backups were copied from one computer to another, but I keep ending up with the same problem.  They work perfect on the source computer, but after porting them to the new Windows 10 machine, dozens (or hundreds) of my files do not play. 

I tried to re-import just one folder but I end up with a second entry in my Library pointing to exactly the same filename/path, yet one plays and the other doesn't.   Super strange.  I have analyzed everything can can't figure it out. Help!

Something (files or directory or parent directory) is read only.
