WebP file format

Can anyone tell me if MC26 supports the WebP file format (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WebP). I'm still on MC25 and these file can't be displayed, can anyone confirm? Thanks.

Coming next build of MC26:
NEW: Added support for the image type webp.
