No playback with Ruark Bluetooth Speakers
« on: December 05, 2019, 07:01:43 am »

I recently upgraded my laptop and JRiver. Am now running JR25 on a Mojave Macbook Pro.

I have some wireless bluetooth speakers, Ruarks, which I occasionally use with my laptop. In the past once I had no difficulty outputing audio from JRiver for playback on the speakers. However, now that I've upgraded and changed laptops JRiver cannot seem to output to the wireless speakers anymore.
The laptop is paired with the speakers.
The speakers will play audio from every other application, web browers, VLC, etc. but not with JRiver 25.
Is there something I could check to try and fix this? What does JRiver do differently to the other applications I mentioned?

Thanks for help

Are the speakers the default output in macOS? Have you selected them in MC's Options > Audio >Audio Device?

Also there's a chance since it's Bluetooth you might need to open DSP Studio > Output Format and resample everything to 48kHz.
