Installing MC26

<< < (20/20)

Longtime happy user of MC24 for Windows, purchased MC26 months ago and finally getting up the nerve to install it and check it out, which I did last night. It automatically loaded all my library views and files, playlists, etc from the existing version.  :)

My question is, what about all the various player settings I spent many hours tweaking in MC24 to my liking: four different playback zones with different audio outputs to two different DACs, different DSP settings, zone switch rules, etc... Am I going to have to manually recreate all those settings in MC26 if I want it to perform like MC24? Because if that is the case, then I think I will be sticking with what works. I know there are lots of new features with every new version (except for the one feature I really truly want, that being support for streaming Qobuz Studio which I had to go out and buy a competing software player for), but I'm not sure if I really need or want any of those features if it means more work for me manually copying all the settings from the older version into the newer one. :-\

Try restoring a backup from your old version.  Settings should transfer.

Try putting your media on a USB stick and plugging it into the Shield.

Do you mean a library backup? I don't know what media you're referring to or what is meant by the Shield. (Sorry, I'm a bit of a dummy-level user).
