MC26 Master License not accepted by new install of MC25 Linux

(1/2) > >>

pepar:
Yep, that's it. I have a fresh MC25 install on Debian 9 and get a message "license file is for a different product" when restoring my Master License from Registration Code or installing the .mjr.

What stoopid mistake could I be making?  ;)

Version is 25.0.50 (64-bit).

Jeff

Awesome Donkey:
It's because the MC25 version you're running is too old, I'd recommend updating to the latest 25.0.114 build and it'll accept the MC26 license.

Ahh, got the code from the Linux 25 thread. "Stable" ... so I should switch to "latest?"

Other than installing and reinstalling with "latest" code, is there an easy way to do that?

Jeff

Awesome Donkey:
Yes, I'd switch to the latest channel. It's honestly very stable even though it's "latest" though I wouldn't be surprised if 25.0.114 isn't moved to the stable channel in the future.

But yeah, only the latest MC25 builds accept a MC26 license (builds before 25.0.108, if I recall correctly, don't).

pepar:
Any easy way to do that, should I just uninstall from package manager and reinstall from terminal?

Jeff
