"Other" files

(1/1)

deone:
When I look at "System Info" under Help, it shows:
(IOW, I have a lot of "Other" files).
Is there a way to see what these files are?  The reason I'm interested is that I've been finding that MC 25 on my mac crashes a lot and I'm wondering if the DB is corrupted.  I could of course blow away the DB and rebuild it but I have entered a fair bit of metadata in it and would prefer not to lose that.

    Total files: 10,544
    Audio files: 5,650
    Image files: 8
    Video files: 0
    Other files: 4,886

They are probably video files  that didn't import properly.
Can you try the latest build and run the autoimport again?

S. Pupp:
I have this problem too, even just using my Mac as a client.  My PC client works fine, but the Mac client is full of unassigned videos.  Both are using my HTPC’s library.

Are you using 25.0.128?
When you connect to a PC library server your videos (just the videos) show up as "Other", not under Video?
