diacritical marks in playlists

I have just noticed that MC26 (and possibly earlier but never noticed) will not allow diacritical marks in the definition of a playlist item.
This is not the issue of text format support for saving out an M3U text file, but of placing a track containing these marks into a playlist within MC26.
