Hi fellas

New here and need a bit of quick advice please.

I am looking for a program that looks and acts like a jukebox for my touchscreen in my mancave. is this that program?

There is 30 day trial period … so can download and try out … learning curve is a bit steep but that's expected from products that offer a lot of customization … if got question during trial on how to do things - just post in this forum and surely someone will help you out

I never used full MC on touchscreen (Windows touchscreen) ... so cannot really comment

I use iPads for my touchscreen with JRemote app to control my HTPC and it is good … unfortunately, there is no trial for JRemote

PS. I chose MC because of MadVR baked right into it (last I heard Kodi stop supporting officially DSPlayer) which allows me to watch 3D … plus DSD support for music

I am a newb with very little knowledge..i looked at zenpoint and this.

i am a simple man so im not sure what HTPC or MadVR  are.

HTPC is a PC that is used to play/store media files (HT part stands for home theatre)

What you intend to do with MC? ... play audio or video or both?

Greatest strength of MC comparing to other similar software is its cataloguing ability ... organise your files using predefined and/or custom tags so you can easily find what you want (it can fill in predefined tags automatically using internet)

Obviously it support all popular and not so popular media formats ... has a great playback engine for audio and video  files ... can organisé photos (though I have not used that feature yet)

It’s mainly targeted at ppl who collects vast amount of their media digitized for easy access (most will digitized it in lossless format to preserve their media for the day when their disc fail)

It’s for ppl who care about getting the best playback out of their media

PS. MadVR is rendering engine for video created by madshi ... it’s arguably best but does require powerful Graphic Card (GeForce 1060 as minimum for 4K playback) ... it has superb scaling algorithm, can play 3D, and superb HDR tone mapping

i will keep testing it for now and see how it goes. there is a theatre preview which looks like it might work on a touch screen as a jukebox.
