Radio Paradise MetaData
« on: February 04, 2020, 05:47:21 pm »

More a curiosity than an issue but I've noticed when I stream Radio Paradise to my renderer, it displays Artist and Album name rather than Artist and Song title. Everything is displayed correctly in MC and JRemote, is the metadata from RP something we have any control over?

Thanks

RP supplies metadata in an odd way. It's possible there is a missing mapping. We'll check it out when we get a chance. Feel free to bump this if you don't hear back...

Thanks Bob, incorrect mapping makes sense. Essentially Album title is being mapped to track title.

I just tried this to a volumio renderer and it was correct.

Seeking more info I sniffed the metadata:

Code: [Select]
<item id="F164782" parentID="0" restricted="1">
<dc:title>If You Could Only See</dc:title>
<upnp:class>object.item.audioItem.musicTrack</upnp:class>
<upnp:artist>Tonic</upnp:artist>
<upnp:artist role="Performer">Tonic</upnp:artist>
<upnp:artist role="AlbumArtist">Tonic</upnp:artist>
<dc:creator>Tonic</dc:creator>
<upnp:album>Lemon Parade</upnp:album>

It all looks good to me. Not sure what's going on for you. I tried all 4 channels as well.

Ok thanks Bob, I'll take a closer look...must be down to the renderer itself.

Works fine with my own files, only RP comes through this way. I'll tinker and revert.

Edit: Yep definitely renderer specific Bob. I cobbled together another using Chromecast and it displayed correct metadata.

Will raise a ticket with the vendor and see what they come back with.

Cheers
