New Chord Hugo TT2. Should I check the box for DSD bitstream in DoP format? I have with DAC's in the past. I tried no check and got a click/pop when I stopped and started a DSD file.

Yes, if bitstream in DoP works for the Chord, use it. :)

The pop/click is likely normal. Some DACs do this when switching bit-depths/sample rates with PCM, and switching from PCM to DSD (or vice versa). Mine does too when switching bit-depths/sample rates for PCM and when switching from PCM to DSD (and vice versa of course).

EDIT: Looked at the Chord Hugo TT2's tech specs/manual, and it says this...

DSD support: DoP DSD 64 to DSD 512 – native via Windows

What this means is, DoP should work fine on Windows, macOS and (probably) Linux. However, it also says it supports native DSD on Windows... so on Windows you can go either way. You can either use native DSD or DoP however I wouldn't say one way of doing it is better than the other, as the end result is exactly the same regardless. In summary it doesn't matter if you use DoP or not on Windows as long as DSD bitstreaming is on and it actually works.
