DLNA audio quality issue

I use DLNA to serve a low quality bedroom radio, transcoding everything to MP3 (320kb/s) to keep the data rate down. Happening to play a DSD (1×) album, the sound quality was very hissy and generally rather nasty. Confirmed on another, higher quality DLNA client.
