200% CPU when idle

(1/1)

mimizone:
Hi,
I discovered that MC uses about 200% of CPU (2 cores) of my Mac Mini when doing nothing, just idling.

Also, when quitting MC, the process is still in the Activity Monitor at 200%, but the MC icon doesn't report that it's still running (no dot under the icon).
I have to kill the process.

MC doesn't use that much CPU when starting. It's in the 10-20% range.
It gets into 200% after a while.

How can I find out what's going on?

Running version 25.0.128

Look at the Reporter.  It's in the tree, in the Services and Plugins section.

MC might be doing audio analysis in the background.  If so, it will eventually finish, but the time taken will depend on the size of your collection.  You can google how to disable it if you wish.
