2 TB Storage Options
« on: June 07, 2020, 01:39:24 am »

I have a mapped 2x 2TB Nas and a USB 2TB HD stored elsewhere as backup only.Im up to my limit on the storage front and the NAS WD drives are now 5 years old .One drive is now showing problems and im a little worried about failures.
I was thinking about going to Cloud storage, backblaze or Cloud or should I replace the WD NAS drives.
Should I or does anyone play flacs directly from cloud storage ?
Or should I keep everything local ?
I would like to double my storage capacity... 2 x WD reds 4TB £160 each ,still looking at cloud costs

Thankyou for any replys

Wouldn't it be cheaper to get a single 8 or 10 Tb WD Mybook drive and then when finances allow it another one as a back up?

Apart from power source, what is the difference between a USB powered HD and a mains powered one ?
