Help: where is the Remove command?
« on: April 21, 2003, 11:31:37 pm »

I'm not able to find the Remove command to take a file out of a playlist. If I use the Delete command sometimes the file is taken out of the playlist but other times the delete dialog appears (delete from library and/or hard disk?) which is not what I want to do.

Am I missing something or it's a bug? I'm using build 155.

I, too, wondered this. Edit/Delete was the closest I coudl find. I believe the reason that sometimes you get the Delete from Library dialog is this: if you Delete from a playlist, the file is just removed from the playlist; if you Delete from a View Scheme, the file is deleted from the library entirely. You might want to double-check that, though...

if you hit the delete key it will take it out of the play list

you can also press shift(& hold) and delete this will bring up the dialog but all the options there will take it out of the library.

I think if your in a playlist it should also have "Remove From Play List"

I think that now that the menus have been restructured and are less cluttered, there should be room for seperate Remove and Delete commands.

Using Shift in conjunction with a menu command is really messy. For one thing, how will most new users even know that it's available? Sure, you can document it in the help file, but the UI should be intuitive enough that new users will just know that capability is available.
