I have two view names in the Tree under Audio - Default Views and Other Views - under which I collect the original default views and some seldom used views.  They are not hidden, but I put them at the bottom of the Audio Tree and they are very much out of the way.

+1.  Currently I go through BubbleUPnP on Android to select music from JRiver server (or Minim server) and direct to Chromecast audio renderer.  Eventually I will try JRemote2 on Android to do the same.  But sometimes it would be more convenient to cast directly from JRiver on PC.

@dtc thanks.  Nice approach - maybe even better than hiding completely.

You can install BubbleUPnP on your Windows PC and then the Chromecast will show up as a DLNA device which you can use for audio output.

@dtc thanks again!  Very very cool.  I have had BubbleUPnP installed on PC all along, but the Chromecast renderers never showed up as JRiver zones.  So I just messed around with settings in BubbleUPnP > Configure... > Media Servers  and JRiver Options > Media Network.  Now all is good: Chromecast Renderers show up as JR Playing Now zones.   ;)
