In full screen Display View (showing cover art and lyrics), moving the mouse to top edge of screen drops down a temporary but stable view of the Mini View controls - a very nice feature.

When mouse is moved to any other edge (left, bottom, right) in Display View, the Mini View control pops out from top but it blinks on and off, pretty much useless.  I see this on two different Windows 10 PCs w MC 27.0.26.

Request:  Modify Display View so that moving mouse to left edge pops out a temporary Tree View, just like in Cover View.  Selecting from the tree would close Display View and open Cover View, landing either in an existing tab (if it matches selection) or a new tab.  Alternatively, just match <CTRL>+5 behavior with tabs at top.  Mousing the Bottom and Right edges should either do nothing at all or be fixed to at least give a stable Mini View control at top.

I wouldn't want to see this removed. It gives users a quick way to see the Track, Artist and Album, without switching Views.

@RoderrickGI:  My request is to leave the top edge functionality as is - it works perfectly to drop down the Mini View which is indeed very useful.  Then replace left edge as described.  Bottom and right edge should either be fixed to expose a stable Mini View like top edge, replaced with some other functionality, or do nothing, since they do not work properly as is, at least for me.

Please explain how this is any different than what’s done for coverart?

RoderickGI:
Understood Mark. The current functionality is fine for me, but I guess I wouldn't mind if the Control Bar stayed visible while my mouse was on the left, bottom, or right edge, as it does with the top edge. The issue with that though is that if you move the mouse out of the way and it hits an edge, the Control bar stays visible and covers some of the screen. As it is now, it just displays briefly and then closes. I think that is why it works as it currently does, to not permanently cover some of the screen.

But it is up to JRiver anyway.  8)
