MC 26 crashes when importing library

Hi, just upgraded to MC 26/27 from MC 24, installed with no issues, but when I try to import the library and old settings, it hangs forever then crashes. I have uninstalled MC24, also did a clean re-install of MC26, the library back up was done correctly, so there should be no issue - yet there is, and it crashes without fail.
Would appreciate some help, many thanks in advance.

What if you restore just settings?  Or just the library?

Does only one of them cause the crash?

Not a common problem, so please let us know.

I might need you to send me a library backup to try here (matt at jriver).

Thanks for the quick reply Matt, much appreciated. Not sure which causes it, I tried restoring both a number of times then gave up after the crashes. Since MC26 was installed on the same machine as MC24, it inherited its library and so things were fixable (I changed the settings manually to what they used to be, took a minute or so), but yeah, odd. After fixing everything I backed up the library from MC26, then upon installing it on a second box (the HTPC) I was able to import everything fine. So...restore MC24 settings and library to fresh MC26 install causes crashes, but MC26 to MC26 doesn't. Odd. I can send both library files for you to have a look, just need to know how.

MC26 also seems to have a host of stability issues, after getting used to the smooth action on 24 these hangups and crashes are a bit jarring but I am sure they will be fixed in not time, like always.

If you've got a library that crashes on restore, please send it my way (matt at jriver).

If you're seeing other crashes, start a thread with details and a crash dump.

Instability and crashes during regular playback - urgh, not sure what is happening, new thread coming soon.
