ENTER key on number-pad not working

This has been the case since I first got MC last year: the Enter key on the number pad does not work. Only the main keyboard Enter key works. Is there a reason for this? Is there a setting? The Enter key on the numbers pad is frequently far more convenient (because it's closer to where my hand is.) Any way to fix this?

I can confirm this with my keyboard, too. I have a Matias BT wireless. The number keys on the keypad work, btw.
