MPC-HC madvr hdr problem
(1/1)
Demonova:
Hello guys,
please I need help! I set up my hdr with madvr on MPC-HC and it worked perfectly, however it doesn't work on all video formats! it only works on x264 10bit. If it was P010 or x265 10 bit doesn't work.
tij:
This is JRiver MC support forum ... not mpc-hc
Having said that ... turn off HDR in Windows (it’s total garbage) and either passthrough HDR metadata to your HDR TV ... or if your TV is not HDR use MadVR to tone map
PS. both video seems to be not HDR ... HDR video will have BT2020 color space ... not REC709
PSS. Your scaling algorithm are too heavy for your GPU ... rendering time way exceed your vsync ... you will have lots of dropped frames (stuttering)
Demonova:
iam really lost and i do not know what to do, please if I may ask u to add me in discored or any other voice chat call so that I can show u it will mean a lot for me
JimH:
This isn't a forum for MPC-HC. It's for JRiver Media Center.

Switch to JRiver MC ... it is not THAT expensive (there is 30 day free trial) ... mpc-hc development stop ages ago

PS. MC is the only player left that supports MadVR out of box
