Help on Video for a newbie

Dennis in FL:
I have JRiver set up for audio on an iMac and nearby I have a A/V receiver with HDMI output to a cheap TV (source=antenna TV, DVD, Raspi, Roku)

Is there hardware I can buy to port the HDMI to my Mac...either directly or through MC and skip the TV?
